Tribute to Shaila

In tribute of my quiet apartment... I dedicate this post to Shaila Marie Lockhart. Sister, and Best Friend. Over the years we have gone from close as kids, to semi-close as teens, Not close at all and back to close again as young adults. Since my move to Orem in September, she has been there through thick and thin. She is such a good example to me! Other than our jobs and the class schedule she had this semester,, we spent a good majority of the day's hours together. We play, dance, sing, laugh, eat, walk, talk, push, hit, and love each other. Many more days are to come of that. what a good sister, right? I think so!

• Mike can climb buildings pretty well.
• Yesterday was Taylor Swift's birthday. We celebrated with the boys with cupcakes and ice cream. We even sang to her.. well, a poster of her.
• I'm two finals away from Christmas break!!

How To Annoy Your Sister

1. When you get locked out of the apartment after class in the morning, ring the doorbell like a maniac until she comes to the door, greeting you with her zombie-like glare.
2. Follow her into her room as she crawls back in to bed, and insist that she be up and moving once you're out of the shower.
3. "Let" her make you breakfast.
4. After she loads the dishwasher and goes back to her room, give her a few minutes to let her think that she's won. Then, after she's cozy in her bed, with the bedroom door locked, knock incessantly.
5. When she doesn't unlock it after five minutes of knocking, tell her that you need her keys because she has the only working mail key.
6. While you're waiting for her to believe that you need the keys, take your iPod to her door and blare "You're a Jerk."
7. She'll eventually believe you and slide her keys under the door (you know, so that she doesn't risk you shoving your way through the door).
8. Then SURPRISE! unlock her door.
9. She will then proceed to tackle you in the hallway.. this is where you let her think that she's won the whole battle.
10. Then, you talk her into taking a shower and embracing the new day! (at about noon..)
11. THEN just before she gets into the shower, run into the bathroom and take a picture of her on the toilet.
12. She will then proceed to chase you around the apartment and eventually delete the picture, but hey- it was worth it for a good laugh.
13. Really let her take a shower now.
14. Laugh the rest of the day :)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Zumba

Shaila and I have engaged in another way of bonding together. We joined gold's gym. There have been only a few times that we've been able to actually go together.. This would be one of them. A Zumba class. Pretty much the definition of what Shaila and I do around our apartment every other day anyway, but in a more organized manner there. Enjoy! :)
